Having followed these threads for a while now and strangely enjoying them immensely, I have now taken the plunge and sent off my own CCA requests.

It feels good to be starting to take control of things and in my own way get my own back at these computer run, faceless and inhumane corporations. Something I was beginning to believe was no longer possible in this day and age.

Currently I’m on a DMP with the cccs however it looks like this won’t get me out of the woods for another 15 years, below is the total 90k mess I’m in and here’s hoping.

I have had a couple of replies one from Red Castle Recoveries that have said they are requesting my documentation. The other from Bryan Carter Solicitors who seem to have started playing games by sending my postal order back and saying I need to contact their client the royal bank of Scotland.

I will be sending out the “Follow-Up to DCA - who decline your CCA Request” template tomorrow morning.

i.e.

1. Type of account (credit card/loan)[/\*]
2. Date commenced (ideally before Apr 2007)[/\*]
3. Approx balance[/\*]
4. Date last paid (approximate date you last made a FULL payment)[/\*]
5. Are you on arrangement or not paying[/\*]
6. Status (default/in arrears/up-to-date)[/\*]
7. Account owner (who is writing to you, a DCA or the lender)[/\*]

Bear in mind to get the full effect and full compliance from the lenders, you ought to cancel the DMP but not yet, not til you confirm the additional info as requested above.... from that i'll be able to determine which are likely to be enforceable and which aren't....

hi monopoly, your thread looks great do you know your exact default dates? have you looked at your credit report? its always an idea to get a copy as there is some good info on there. I expect Niddy will be along later to add his comments and support

Thanks for the advice, I have the experian report so have added in the default dates as suggested.
