Reconstituted Agreements
I've been reading the excellent AAD guide to UE as a result of which I think I've got a better understanding of most aspects of UE, or so I thought at first! I'm sure I read somewhere that for Pre-April 2007 credit card accounts reconstituted agreements are NOT "valid, true copies and unacceptable"....

Post 2007 Agreement
Hi all,
Had my head down for a while as Statute Barred Status is looming at the end of this year, however MKDP have finally sent a recon of an agreement for a HSBC credit card. It was taken out in the later half of 2007 so this question may be irrelevant anyway but if the recon that they...

jtovey UE Diary
I have had a response to my CCA request from PRA group on the Halifax c/c debt, they have sent through statements from 2001 to 2006 and a copy agreement from 2006 or 2007, my signature appears nowhere in anything they have sent and the copy agreement is not dated. Is this enforceable? I am guessing...

Hi all
I have been in dispute with Co-op Visa (credit card) for the last few months over what I say is an unenforceable agreement under CCA 1974. the amount in question is £4,900.00.
The agreement was taken out in 1993 but when I requested a copy of the original agreement...

Voluntary charge.
How useful is it to offer a voluntary charge on your property while trying to make an offer pre court, especially when in actual fact it will only be a Restriction (single debt, joint owners)?
Is it wise to do this?
Can it help with negotiating a lower amount owed?
Does anyone...

creditor not signed agreement can he charge interest and fees?
If an agreement is not signed by the creditor, so an unexecuted agreement. My question is; does the creditor have the legal right to charge late fees interest etc.
My own opinion is no! I appreciate he may be able to sign in the court room, if so that would not entitle him to backdate...
