Re: Parachute account, switching worry
Yes, I'm mot sure how to use this yet. I'm in a big mess with these, have printed a template letter to use, as i plan to default to try and pay off a lower sum each month. have an old bank I can have my wages redirected in, but I also used that acct for these loans over a year ago. But they all come out of current bank now, wud they still have my old details and try to collect from it? I intend to try and set up payment plan from the one they currently have by transferring the correct funds every month. I'm near ill ovr this dept, just want my life back x

Re: Help Needed
I currently have 4 payday Laons which are now out of control, I've been reading thru forum and I've decided to default at end of month when due. I have an old bank account to redirect my wages to and if I'm successful with payment plans I will still use the account that they have now to pay theses. However, the bank that I intend to get redirected to, I also used this account some 8 months ago, I'm worried they will have the old details? I'm going to say my debit card is lost to get a new one, any advise wud be welcome! I have kept this burden to myself and feel in going mad! I've got a template letter I'm going to send at end of month one day before due. I feel defaulting is my only choice, so I can pay a lower payment and get rid of these shower of shits! They are with wonga, payday uk, payday express and swift sterling

Re: Help Needed
Hi Tinkers
Just come across your thread and didn't want to read and run as really busy this evening, but will post again in the morning.
Just a few questions:
1) You say you can get your wages 'redirected' to your old account. Do you mean by that your wages will be paid into your current account and you will redirect them yourself?
2) Have the payday loan companies ever (and I mean ever, at all) been given your old bank account details?
3) Who do you bank with? Could you get a new bank account set up with another bank not associated with your current one?
4) Could you get your employer to pay wages into a new account in time should you get one set up
5) You said you have 4 payday loans. I see Wonga, Payday Express and Payday UK. Who is the fourth?
BTW - don't worry. I have dealt with all three of these and once they have spouted out their threats they're pretty easy to deal with.

Re: Help Needed
I understand ur on the run,
Hers the low down
I am going to have my salary paid to a diff account with IF, I have said my debit card was lost and they are issuing a new one.
The bank I was using is ulster bank.
However I did previously use the old IF one up until about feb last year, all the current loans with the ones mentioned are used from the ulster.
The fourth is with swift sterling but in just going to pay them off.
I am now worried they wud still hold these details?? Tho a completely new card is being issued.
I will then next week cancel the ulster one, I don't have overdraft so the payment shall fail.
Of your form, I have written letter to post one day before I default and will also email them my proposal plan, I am not avoiding my debt but if I don't do this I'm going to sink, all I do is think and dream of this.
I changed my work number on the paydayuk and express site to halt calls but couldn't find the work no to edit for wonga
I could I supp try and open basic acct but prob now too late, was hoping IF wud be ok to go back to as all current agreements have ulster bank details.
I'm due to default last day of month.
Thanks so much for any advise in advance, I've been carrying this burden myself as I'm so embarrassed .
I have found good advise on it , we'll here's hoping I have

Re: Help Needed
Hi Tinkers
First of all don't be embarrassed - there's no need to be.
The most important thing to do it to protect your wages to prevent the PDL companies from automatically taking your money, or from attempting to take continually smaller amounts until they wipe out your bank account.
It sounds like you've got this covered so you can relax on this front.
So what will happen now will be a great deal of gnashing of teeth, threats, phone calls etc.
Phone calls is simple - refuse to answer security questions. Simply state that you do not give personal information out to unsolicited phone calls, and that you will not discuss financial matters on the phone anyway and any correspondence should be placed in writing.
If the phone calls get to harassment levels we can deal with that.
Now all the companies you have mentioned with the exception of swift sterling claim that they freeze interest after 3 days of arrears.
As you have told them of your circumstances they should honour this but we will see.
Don't worry - you'll see theres several people dealing with PDL companies, and once the initial hassle has been dealt with they tend to go quiet as theres little they can do as they don't want the risk of their agreements and interest rates being challenged in court.
