Hi Flowerpower, yes that's the template I have used thanks, so will see what reaction it gets (if any).

This CC was originally with Beneficial and went to HFC before MBNA took over, I've got one too but am not being bothered by anyone at the moment!

Thank you for the links, I'll have a read.

    Arrow Global - MBNA

I wasn't really sure what title to give this new thread as so many DCA's have had a go!

Long story short, this is my OH's CC which was originally with MBNA from around 20 years ago. Major reduction of income in 2009, offer made using CCCS dept remedy templates but they rejected the reduced offer of payment and tried to get him to sign up to a new deal which would have ended up with a debt of £11k turning into repayments totalling £14k!

In early 2010 the unenforcability route was then taken and after over 6 months, MBNA wrote confirming that they were unable to comply with the CCA request and would not issue court proceedings for as long as this situation continued. But they considered the debt still payable and would continue to request payment and report to the CRA's.

Several DCA's have written, including MHA,AIC,Fredrickson's and Rockwell and in January 2012 MBNA sent a letter to advise that the debt had been sold to Arrow Global. Arrow have never written and the last letter we sent in April 12 was to Rockwell in the shape of P1's CPUTR request, to which they responded stating they would seek further information from their client.

Today he has had a letter from Drydens/Fairfax, requesting proposals for repayment within 10 days, otherwise they have instructions to issue legal proceedings etc.

I've found the template letter on here and will be posting it to them in the morning. I will update here as and when.
