Don't fret Pixie, perhaps your postman is a bit slower than ours!

I think you have to "opt in" not "opt out" if they want to share your information with a third party

You may have "opted in" when you signed (or not) the original credit agreement but they haven't got that have they (by their own admission) which could be why they are seeking your permission now

Mr D got one, mailshot thingy wanting a return, so a sly way of confirming addresses? cheeky blighters, that may actually be against marketing association rules.......................if they use the confirmed addresses for anything nefarious

    MBNA - Arrow Global

Hi, has anyone had a letter from Arrow Global like this?

    Dear Mr.....

Here at Arrow Global, we sometimes like to work with organisations who offer products and services that we think may help you to repay your debt.
We want to give you the opportunity to opt out of receiving information about our products or services from Arrow Global and/or our partner organisations in the future. To opt out of out of any future offers please detach and return the slip below in the pre-paid envelope within the next 14 days.
Your account is currently being managed by Drydens Fairfax Solicitors on our behalf and you should direct all queries, correspondence and payments to them.

I am guessing that this may be a ploy to get confirmation that my OH is at the address if the slip is returned, but it doesn't ask for a signature, just states name and a reference number.

We haven't heard from Drydens since October 2012 and we responded to them at that point with a CCA request and they replied that they had forwarded the correspondence to their client. Therefore the matter is currently on hold and no action will be taken.

At the same time in Oct 12, MBNA wrote confirming that they were unable to comply with the s78 request and as long as this continues, they would not issue any court proceedings. However the debt remained payable etc.

Snap ! That's exactly what happened to me last week It seems that once Arrow run out of DCAs to hound you they pass the account to solicitors to pile on the pressure

I expect that "on hold" will be for a very long time - like forever
