Do you think that this should be mentioned to Financial Ombudsman? Apparently they decide on "fairness". If NRAM have decided that it is fair to refund all interest paid during the period that they got it wrong, surely this should apply to other banks. Barclaycard have sent me a copy of an unexecuted agreement. No signature by creditor. Can I expect a FULL refund of all interest paid since 2000?
Who knows, I could be rich!

The difference here its the taxpayers money so they can dole it out. Its not a real bank anymore it just a pile of disasters no one else will touch except us the poor taxpayer.

I wasnt asked to bale them out. Perhaps if we hadnt then it would have been a shock but also the cancer that is Banking as we knew it would have been held to account. And perhaps they wouldnt still be treating Joe Public with such distain as they do still.

My work mate just received a letter from N-RAM asking him to complete a form which has reminded me i had a personal loan with Northern Rock. Is it best to right to them with the address i would have had taken the loan out, or call them do you think?

I read somewhere that it only affected 16 digit account numbers. Has anyone got an update on this?

I contacted them although my loan was not attached to any mortgage and therefore not effected.
