Does anyone know anything about the Zinc group, got a phone call today from them and after listening to a broad glaswegian accent about 10 times I worked out who they were.
When will they learn to speak English

Anyway just wondering which of my many they might be chasing

Thanks scorpio. I take it all back about a proper website . When I find out which debt it is I will do as FP suggests. Knowing my luck it Will be for wanka or some other little debt.

Isn't it traditional for debt collectors to have a current Consumer Credit Licence?

I've looked under their name - as both the organisation name and as the trading name - their postcodes and their company registration number. No licence could be found for them.

They are part of a bigger company

it might not even be your debt, they are a poxy company who employ a load of students on commission schemes to collect dodgy debt, don't give them any clues, put the phone down.

But I am curious
I fancy some fun (of course I can always go and wind people up on other sites but that gets boring after a while as it is so easy to get them to fumble for a reply)

If they are a two bit cowboy outfit as it sounds like they are from posts above, even if they are dealing with one of your debts (as opposed to going on a fishing expedition or a wild goose chase), the probably won't issue a SD and go through with it, sounds like they are just trying to find a mug who would just pick up the phone and make a debit card payment.

If they do not have a Consumer Credit Licence, should they even do that?
