CSA responds to debt collection complaint figures

Can anyone shed any light on the way to tackle Tax Credits people, I have received a letter stating that I owe £10979 in overpayments eek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know what would happen in this situation ? Son divorced 2 boys always lived with him she said that is what she wanted ,7 yrs on son has not had or been offered 1 penny in maintainence, he recontacted CSA recently ,they have written to her her response is ' if he is going to play silly buggers...

child no 2 born 2006 voluntary family agreement paying £200 a month as jointly agreed. Voluntary arrangements are not taken into account under 2003 rules, so this was not registered with CSA...

She is having problems with her ex dodging paying a CSA debt.
It has been going on for nearly 3 years now. The bailiffs have had it for about 3 month now and have given up trying to get the money.
They know he's in when they call but he just doesn't answer the door.
