Wonder if anyone can answer this:
Normally when you make a debit card payment online, although the money doesn't go out of your account immediately, it is normally 'set aside' by the bank/ building society and taken from your available balance whilst they await the company to come forward and 'claim' it. Quite a few times I have noticed that the money for such transactions has returned into my overall balance and then been claimed a couple of days later. So, here's my question;
If you then 'spent' the money again, on an account that had no overdraft facility (Halifax Cardcash), what would be the likely scenario when the original demand came in and there was no funds to pay it?
Thanks.
