  • On a 600 odd month agreement with Moorcroft, have they gone soft.

Thought i'd post this up as it might give some of you a bit of hope that dcas are tameable. Ive just had in writing that I am on a £5 a month agreement for 600odd months. By my reckoning i'll be old and £5 wont even = a penny.
After months of letters from them full of the usual generic threats and me replying with in simple terms "I will continue to pay £5 a month, please forward me your details", they have finally gave in and sent me there agreement to my offer writing along with all there bank details so I dont have to get people sending cheques for me.

Utter bollocks. It's as long as a mortgage and totally unrealistic to maintain and achieve.

This would be better considered as a write-off in totality! But repayment is a farce!!!

I agree it is somewhat farcical. I'd be 80 odd if it ever got that far.
Funny thing is saturday I received a threatogram, cant really take a company to serious when they operate like this.

How true - they all seem to operate in a world of their own... no logic or rationality at all.

(have to say I'm not paying anything at all on those of mine that are UE. But it gives me hope that it might be possible to string out an enforceable one that long, gives time to save for a F&F and get rid!)

Well at least I know this is why they were trying to chase me the other day rather than to do with my Ulster debt.
So i'll continue to pay Moorcroft and ignore Westcott.

£5 a month, its a Lloyds credit card of about £3000. Was taken out in about 1998. You checked the agreement and thought it was probably enforceable although I think it was a microfiche and I have a feeling it was 2 separate sheets.

Today we got a nice postcard though the letterbox addressed to "the occupier", asking us to ring some number and ask for some bird, not got it handy but its was an almost fantasy name, not far of a porn star, something like Laura Lou. Thought I had a stalker then noticed at the very bottom it was Westcott in little writing. 3 letters in 5 days, 2 of them phishing with the middle 1 being addressed to me.
