Barclaycard, originally Egg card

Hi,

I have a Barclaycard I can't afford to pay as out of work and it has defaulted. From reading threads I need to work out if they have original Credit Agreement I signed. Can someone send me the latest link for the CCA request letter? The links are broken in older threads. Also does someone have experience of Egg / Barclaycard and whether most likely unenforceable or not? It is an Egg card pre 2007. I think around 2001 or possibly earlier.

if you could lay the diary out like this

• Type of account (credit card/loan)
  
  
• Date commenced (ideally before Apr 2007)
  
  
• Approx balance
  
  
• Date last paid (approximate date you last made a FULL payment)
  
  
• Are you on arrangement or not paying
  
  
• Status (default/in arrears/up-to-date)
  
  
• Account owner (who is writing to you, a DCA or the lender)

it would really help.

Is this your only debt or are there others that we may be able to help with? You should have a good read around the forum, lots of examples of similar debts to yours but remember every debt can be treated differently by the creditor or DCA so much better to get all the information you need and then make an educated decision, yes?

Because of the passage of time and the sale of Egg accounts to Barclaycard, we do find that a lot of their paperwork has gone missing. They may or may not find original agreements, but even if they do they can struggle to supply the correct T&C's from inception and as varied. It's the luck of the draw.
It's certainly worth sending them a CCA Request.
