    Hi guys,
never really approached this one in the right way..
Always ended up paying out more than i could afford, and not leaving enough to live on.
Since going down the UE route its helped massively.
I have 2 or 3 that i have coming up for review....they are Enforceable debts.
I have looked but not had much luck in finding any links to income and expenditure forms on the brilliant AAD.
Also i have no idea on what the trigger allowances are, i do not want to end up over committing again, but i want to ensure i am paying the debt off in a sensible controlled manner.
Any help would be most appreciated.

    Hi Stuffthebanks,
The best one around at the moment is NEDCAB's in my opinion. It's completed online and has the triggers built in. Plus being CAB it carries a lot of weight.

          Re: Allowances

Filled forms in Elsa..very easy and straight forward...
It does highlight that i am paying way more back than i should be on debt, and leaving myself short on the basics and essentials.
Will now be changing my offers to creditors.
          Many thanks Elsa.....

Excellent! They should accept that without question. If they don't, report back and we'll put them straight

              Re: Allowances

              Hi Steve,
If you want to double check your figures why not have a play with Stepchange (CCCS as was) website's debt remedy. That doesn't seem to have the triggers mentioned, but why I used it was for finding out maximum amounts I could get away with on my I&E form. It has triggers as well, but only if you over-estimate amounts, when it tells you the maximum you should be entering.

I know nothing about NEDCAB's but have used that one to good effect. I was quite surprised how much it allowed, and made me realise that I, like you, wasn't allowing enough to live on.

                Re: Allowances

It might be interesting to compare, but the trigger figures are universal as far as I'm aware

                    Re: Allowances

I can confirm what UE said - the trigger figures are univeral. All come from the Common Financial Statement produced by the Money Advice Trust and licensed by the OFT.

Not too big a senior moment then.

FFS I've been Googling CFS and STB, CFS trigger figures and STB - anything I could think of as I thought I ought to know without asking.

I am seriously close to wetting myself laughing!
