    Re: Experian & DVLA

    This is utter bollocks, since when does owning a car give right to sharing data with 3rd party credit agencies. I am spitting feathers right now.....

    Another useful linky here: ---> Experian Licence Link

    Or this ---> Experian AutoCheck

    Or this ---> Yahoo Comments

                Thanks for all this, Niddy.

                Quite worrying that Experian get hold of all this data!

                  Re: Experian & DVLA

                  Tax Credits check Experian - it's a new initiative for people that ring and wish to speak about their accounts; if they can electronically verify you (note this is NOT a credit search) then they will allow you phone access with a password. If not, then they will not allow you to set up a secure password.

                  This is a HMRC issue - remember Tax Credits are administered via local taxation, NOT benefits (DWP)!

                  ---> Click me and see all the google results! Shocking!

                    Shocking indeed, Niddy!

                    Especially as there is absolutely nothing any "ordinary" person can do about all this data being shared!

                        Well according to HMRC, if you do not want to speak on the phone to them - then you don't need to agree to it. If you wish to communicate via phone, then yes - Experian it will be (only the first time - ie when you set-up the password etc) - bear in mind one of the questions is "what was your previous address"!

                            Its even more shocking, when you change it (Google search) from World Wide to UK and the information scale to in the last week.........
