actually may not be as relevant..... thread is here

---> Payday Loan Hassles - allaboutFORUMS

But basically give them a few days to respond, in the meantime just chill a bit and wait their reply.

Have you cancelled with your bank, ie the CPA that was set up..?

They may try and say we cannot cancel it, yes they can! Your bank HAS to cancel the CPA if you ask them to. However to cover yourself, report your card as lost and order a new one...

---> Continuous payment authority: we are being failed by the Financial Ombudsman

            Full details

who told you that, and what bank are you with...?

I think you'll find that whoever told you that is actually breaking their regulators law - this is what protects you and proves them wrong ---> The Payment Services Regulations 2009

Lloyds TSB are most definitely wrong. All you need to do is report the card as lost and re-order a new one. I'd not worry too much about cancelling the CPA as they just don't understand, neither do the FOS for that matter so it doesn't surprise me and we won't suggest you sue the bank, it just aint worth it...

Sit tight and await a reply from the PDL firm, that's what I would do..... :niddy

                        Re: Approaching Payday Loans

Ok thankyou heres what i have sent do you think its ok?

I refer to an outstanding Pay Day loan that I have with yourselves. which i cannot find the account number on my wonga account. I have always paid and never faulted within 18 months. My email address i sign in with is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Unfortunately the spiralling effect of such loans has left me in an awful predicament meaning I cannot fulfil my liability in one go any more and I therefore propose a payment plan structure that allows me to repay the balance over time, alternatively I will cease all repayments as I cannot afford this any more.

The current balance is shown as £xxx which I propose to repay in 9 equal instalments of £xxx then 1 payment of £xxx. Also stop all the interest I cannot afford to repay any more and will not entertain haggling this issue, my offer is outlined above and I suggest you consider it as failure to will result in me considering my options which may include Bankruptcy - as we both know, if this occurs then you'd not get anything back as I genuinely do not have anything to give.

If you could confirm in email to xxxxxxxxxxxxxx that my offer is acceptable and enclose your bank details and the reference to use, I'll set up the payment plan to commence 28th sept 2012 and the 28th of each month thereafter up-to and including June 2013, by which time I will have fully repaid the balance.

I have already cancelled my bank card thus alleviating the possibility of you trying to reclaim full payment so please ensure you send your bank details in your reply.

                        I await your prompt response.

                        Yours faithfully
