On November 7th I applied online to open a current account, fancied the contactless debit card. Fed up with santander, a few days later got a letter saying please sign as was accepted for account. Also please sign the signature specimen form, as soon as we receive the signed form and specimen form the account will be opened. A week goes by so rang, was waiting about 20 mins and lady comes on. She says to me I will contact account opening team in manchester. She comes back and says sorry they are behind in processing but will now do the application and this will generate a sort/account number.
Today gets a letter:
Dear Ms ************
Thank you for your recent application for your recent application for a barclays bank account.
To progress your application we require further information from you. you can call into any branch and ask to see a personal banker. Please take this letter and original documents to confirm current address and identity.
What as annoyed me the first letter said the account will be opened on the receipt of the signed form and specimen form signed. What has changed? Do you think they have lost the specimen form I signed, aren't they slow, thought santander were not so good. Also they have check me on Experian and asked me quite a few questions related to Equifax.
new so please go gentle
