    Barclaycard

Paperwork states start as October 1997

Balance is recorded by DCA as £4,700 + change
Last payment was in April 2009, not paying anything at present
Current status on credit record is Settled, but has been passed to DCA despite being in dispute since October 2009. I currently hold a purported copy of original CCA, as sent by Barclaycard. DCAs previously assigned are Mercers, Calders
& Moorcroft, now in the hands of Lowell Portfolio I Ltd. Hamptons have attempted to extract payment, but one letter in & they went away.

    From October 2009 - February 2012

Lots of activity, a lot has been shredded ... basically me being with a "debt elimination company" resulted in jack-sh!t. Took the bull by the horns when I was continually being sent letters by Lowell, ditched the "elimination" company & I've been bouncing letters to Lowell basically saying "prove it or go away!" They've admitted that the contract is between me & Barclaycard, but that is now terminated of course. Lowell have been insinuating that they've been representing the OC, & when I called them out on in in a letter, they did a MAHOOSIVE U-turn. They assert that I've still got to pay them, that is Lowell, however. Then I found this wonderful site, so here we go ...

The default notice I received in May 2012 is dated mid-2010

Niddy has the purported CCA for his perusal.

    UPDATES
05 October 2012 - Niddy confirms as UE, letter sent to DCA
15 January 2013 - after a few bits of to-ing & fro-ing through November, including a letter from me telling them that the so-called original contract (application form) as held by Barclaycard is completely unenforceable, I've had a letter from Lowell saying that they "have decided to write off [my] account balance and close this account. [They] will also arrange for the default to be removed from my credit file." I must understand though that "This is done as a gesture of goodwill with no acknowledgement of liability or wrongdoing, in order to resolve [my] complaint amicably without any further delay or inconvenience."
18 September 2015 - This is no longer an issue, thankfully, but my previously rejected PPI claim has been found to be lawful & has been upheld (£2500 + change).

      MBNA

No paperwork, i.e. CCA is not available, but I'm 100% certain this is back from mid-1999.
Balance is recorded by DCA as £4,700 + change
Last payment was in April 2009, not paying anything at present
Current status on credit record is Satisfied, but has been passed to DCA despite being in dispute since October 2009. No CCA forthcoming, despite Section 78 request & DSAR. DCAs previously assigned are Moorcroft & Westcot, now in the hands of Arrow Global Guernsey Ltd., who have recorded a default on my credit file, PLUS opened a credit account with their own reference number in my name without informing me.

      From October 2009 - February 2012
As above with the "debt elimination company". This is an old Abbey National credit card, but no-one can furnish me with any information. MBNA have even had their parent company, Bank Of America, send me letters, but I've told them to "prove it or go away!" They can't prove it; no CCA is available, & I have a letter to state that from MBNA & Arrow Global Guernsey Ltd. The default notice I received recently is dated June 2010.

30 September 2012 - letter sent stating that this cannot be enforced, inc. copies of MBNA "no CCA" letter; awaiting response.
18 October 2012 - letter received from Arrow Global stating that they are entitled to register the alleged debt on my credit file, despite not being able to produce any paperwork. Seems like a standard "you must pay" letter, but they will graciously put any action on hold at the moment. They can, however, repeat their request for me to pay up, & they can take me to court if they feel the need to.
18 September 2015 - I've heard nothing from Arrow Global, but I have had a PPI claim upheld by MBNA (£2500 + change). Getting close to statute barred ...
22 March 2016 - the Arrow Global entry has now slid off my credit file

        Marbles

A purported CCA was received on 19 January 2010, which looks like an application form (I will scan & pass to Niddy). Dated 13 January 2000.
Balance is recorded by DCA as £11,000 + change
Last payment was in April 2009, not paying anything at present
Current status on credit record is Satisfied, & I have not heard anything from them since mid-2011.

        From October 2009 - February 2012
As above with the "debt elimination company". I hold no default notice for this account.

        UPDATES
09 October 2012 - Niddy confirms as UE, no DCA & no contact from OC however ... will send letter if/when this happens.
02 January 2014 - letter from 1st Credit arrived this morning, dated 24 December 2013, which has what is purported to be a notice of assignment. Progressive Credit Limited has assigned all of its respective rights, title & interest in respect of the account, including the outstanding balance to 1st Credit (Finance) Limited, effective 17 December 2013. It is electronically signed by Lynne Dineen (Director of Customer Assistance). I will start writing the letters ...
10 January 2014 - two letters from 1st Credit arrived this week, one of them this morning dated 07 January 201. Both of this week's letters are signed by Gavin Flynn, & both threaten county court action. I shall continue to write the letters, request CCA, etc.
12 January 2014 - letter on the doormat when I returned home from night away ... my correspondence has been forwarded to the appropriate department. Let's see what comes back ...
06 September 2014 - letter arrived this morning, stating that "the above purchased account by 1st Credit (Finance) Limited has now been passed back to Marbles." I'm advised that I will not receive any further communication from 1st Credit (Finance) Limited.
18 September 2015 - I've heard nothing about this account since the above, & it has slid off my credit record.

          American Express

This is an account from February 2007, & despite a Section 78 request, no CCA has been forthcoming.
Balance is recorded by Amex as £2,700 + change
Last payment was in April 2009, not paying anything at present
Current status on credit record is Default, & I had not heard anything from them until 2 weeks ago where upon they offered me a settlement deal (40%).

          From October 2009 - February 2012
As above with the "debt elimination company". I hold no default notice for this account.

          UPDATES
          09 October
2012 - letter has been drafted stating that they hold no valid CCA, & despite requests for proof, none has been forthcoming. Settlement deal is being rejected.
13 November 2012 - Amex has sent me a stack of paperwork, copied documents from the previous "agent" ... they're saying they've checked & double-checked the documents, but are not upholding my "complaint". I didn't complain, I merely asked for proof. What I've received is an unsigned CCA, & I'm told that I would have electronically signed it by clicking a tick box on the site, which is tantamout to me agreeing. I've never signed anything with Amex ... I will be sending a letter in response, but which one?
27 December 2012 - Amex sent me a settlement deal. Duly ignored.
13 March 2014 - Amex called house & mobile numbers, despite previous letters advising them not to.
14 March 2014 - Amex sent me a settlement deal, 60% off. Duly ignored.
16 March 2014 - Amex attempt two contacts after 2000hrs (yes, on a Sunday) via international telephone.
18 September 2015 - they keep sending statements, I keep ignoring them.

Just got to get the others to fall into line now ... Arrow Global (previously chasing an MBNA account) have gone very quiet. Still nothing from any Marbles people ... ignoring Amex until they can categorically show something enforceable, which at the moment they can't & are stalling with a response to my last letter.

Well, since the start of this year, I've had jack-squat from ANY of the above. BUT, 1st Credit have now started to attempt to establish contact. Apparently a letter has been sent to me, which definitely has not materialised at my home address, according to an e-mail I received from them just before Christmas, & moments ago I had a text message instructing me to contact them with a reference number.

                              E-mail & text duly ignored.
