Re: EU referendum: Cameron announces date of vote

Well I can't say I'm overly impressed with the deal Cameron finally settled on.

So so we now have a date for the "in or out" referendum....

The nation needs to take interest in this and really look at what the implications are for voting one way or the other,

I think it's pretty safe to say we are all peed off at the number of migrants coming to the UK and draining our resources, but there are many more issues to consider as well before marking an X on the ballot paper, good luck with deciding .....I for one am still sitting on the fence !

I don't see any of the things I am botherd about . Interesting the deal doesn't go to the powers that be till after the referendum, they will probably say no.
if you do it today and you like it you can always do it again tomorrow

Re: EU referendum: Cameron announces date of vote

It's a very difficult decision! Many people are going to be blinded by the migrant and benefit issues, whereas there are many other issues that could have an impact on Britain.

My youngest son has just gained a 6 month internship with the EU before returning to Uni; he is thrilled and already giving minute by minute updates

                    June 23rd it is!
When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Re: EU referendum: Cameron announces date of vote

From a personal point of view, I am voting to stay in. Purely selfish reasons as my job is working for a UK company selling European products which we import for the UK market. If we were out of the EU, that could have a knock on effect on the way goods are imported (free trade) and put my job at risk.

I'll be watching the debates closely to see the facts of in versus out of Europe, as I am quite ignorant to the whole picture and have no idea how much European migrants really cost us as a country - I thought most came here to work and not to claim benefits? Do people think that the crisis in Iran (and therefore all over Europe due to the influx of immigrants) is having a bearing on how people will vote?
If happy little bluebirds fly, beyond the rainbow, why, oh why can't I?

We send £150 m abroad in tax credits and benefits to the families of migrant workers ,now I don't think that is the right thing to do.Just think what the NHS could do with that money. We voted for the common market all those years ago to boost trade ,not for the way its run now.

According to my son we gain more than we lose from being in the EU, but the good parts aren't usually highlighted!
