Barclays are **shit** at updating addresses, sending statements to correct address and are just plain inept at correspoinding unless it suits THEM.

I have today received an ICO response re my complaint about Barclays. Heads up: the ICO said that barclays were "likely" to have breached numerous principles of the DPA and then went on to say that they wouldn't be investigating further and that barclays are "good boys" at data management. rofl. The ICO hid behind the FOS on this one, who had already forced Barclays to remove all the adverse data on my credit files and impose a fine on them. So there was 'owt for the ICO to do. happy to post up their letter its a 4 page monster that lets barclays off the hook DESPITE criticising them for breaching the DPA.

I mean, whats the point of the ICO? They are as useful as a wet paper bag on a rainy day.

Sorry, hate Barclays. Bobo, give them hell would ya.

PS Bobo read my Barclaycard thread on CAG when you can cos your situ is similar to mine and I've managed to eek £1200 out of the buggers in charges, compensation and interest.
