received another letter from 1st credit introducing themselves regarding an old RBS CARD,WITH A BALANCE OF £1800.Stopped paying a nominal amount pm to another dca as they failed to tell me current balance and no paying in book sent when requested. This letter actual tells me they will comply with a data protection if I pay them £10.00,Had a fishing letter regarding another so called debt last week. Should I reply to this this latest letter.

Dec 2005 received letter from 1st credit(refused my nominal offer)
Mar 2006 agreed to pay Connaught nominal amount,
April 2007 arrears letter from Connaught.
July 2010 did not get reply for statement and pay in book(stopped paying)
Jan 2013 letter regarding assignment to 1st credit

I'd send a CCA request off straight away if I was you, putupon.
It's a shame you've been paying on and off in dribs and drabs since the last full payment in 2003, otherwise it'd be Statute Barred by now.
Still, assuming they defaulted you in 03 at least it should be off your credit record now.

back in 2005 received letter panicked, started paying nominal. Stopped 2010.never queried the amount , not seen any sort of paperwork just accepted what they say. Once I reply to this my address will go live and other things may pop through the letter box, which template should I use.
