I had an old loan account with Bank of Scotland and want to try and get the PPI back. Other than the fact that I cannot find the account number, does anyone know how safe it is to make a claim with them while I am repaying my old Lloyds overdraft? I wouldnot want any repayment offset against it if I can help it

If you've got an OD they may offset. Plus to get ppi you don't need the A/C number as you do a SAR which is person specific, not product specific.Originally posted by Susie View Post

Is the OD in arrears or being used (ie a live bank account?
Questions -
1. The loan - was it paid off and how much ppi do you think you paid?
2. The OD - is it a live or defaulted account and how much is OD?
3. The OD - if it's defaulted who owns it, a dca or HBOS?

Paid off 10+ years ago, cannot remember how much the PPI was as I threw away al the paperwork on loans that were paid off wel before when I moved house
If I had known then what I know now

Account was closed by the bank. I think there was a default issued for it. Balance around £3k
