~ When did you first notice you're getting older? ~

First time........it was when I was typing away one day about a four years ago and noticed, I now have hands just like my Mothers!!

Second time.......putting the salt and pepper in the fridge!!

Third time..........Losing teaspoons, am I throwing them away with the teabags??

Fourth time.....after many years of laughing at my Mum as she got all our names mixed up, I also am doing that now!!

My only hope is because I giggled at my Grandma passing wind as she went up the stairs this doesn’t run in the family too!!

When my step son told me the name of a band and i had NO clue who they were... (and they were in the top 40!)

Yup, I've started walking into a room, only to realise I have no idea why I'm there.

Then again, that could just be cos I'm nuts?

I can't see anything, instructions on tins and packets, labels on stuff I want to buy, road signs when I'm driving. I wear contact lenses cos I am very short sighted but now I have to wear another pair of reading glasses on top of the contact lenses to read anything, its a pain, I'm turning into one of those mad old bats with 20 pairs of specs swinging around their necks................

I think I can identify with all of the above (except I'm just managing to escape the bifocals for now Mrs D but I think my optician may suggest them next time) - I guess that means I'm officially Over the Hill.

I also used to laugh at my mum getting our names mixed up but now my kids are also used to me calling them by each other's names... poor things.

It was funny speaking of wrong names, my bosses accountant who is also a good friend of mine - was on the phone yesterday and he told me how he was in the dog house for calling his wife by his ex's name........ They have been together over 15 years I think and he not been with his ex in years... mad eh - I have found myself going to call Mr Looloo but He Who Must Not Be Mentioned's name - but just stopped myself in time......................

I've done that recently, and I've been divorced (and not had any contact since) 15 years, with current dh 14 years....
I can only blame old age!
