    Everything has been scarily quiet for the last month.

    Received a rather pointless letter today from Link GE Money

    It's headed 'Important Information Regarding Your Personal Credit Report' and goes on to say "We have obtained a telephone number that you supplied a credit provider when applying for credit. This information was supplied to us by a UK Credit Reference Agency. If you believe this information to be incorrect then please contact us on XXXX. In the event that you do not contact our office we will of course use all the information we have on your file to decide the next course of action to recover the balance in full from you."

    I assume this is just a sneaky ploy to get me to phone them.

    How can I say whether the phone number is correct/incorrect when they don't say what number they've 'obtained' ?

    If they have got my phone number, it will be my landline number which I no longer have because I can't afford it - just in case they're reading this.

    Is it to get me to say that I haven't applied for credit? (I wish! ;pissmy)

    I really just don't see the point of this letter

      I'm the forum administrator and I look after the theme & features, our volunteers & users and also look after any complaints or Data Protection queries that pass through the forum or main website. I am extremely busy so if you do contact me or need a reply to a forum post then use the email or PM features offered because I do miss things and get tied up for days at a time!

              Letter from Westcot re Barclaycard (UE)saying, further to my request for a copy of the signed agreement they are unable to provide me with the information and have returned the account to Barclaycard.

              This is in response to 'Account Sold while in Dispute' letter I sent to them in September! They must have had a good search for it

                Hi Pixie,

                Wescot was the last of the DCAs in my case, they turned a delinquent "application form" and asome statements. Never even bothered to repsond and they returned the account to BC who then within 2 months sold it to Lowells although I see they are selling a fair few on to this MKRR crowd now.

                  Westcot were the 6th dca for my Barclaycard. They got one of my other debts last November but I haven't heard from them (or anyone else!) about that debt since March

                    'Final Response' from Resolution Legal Services re M&S allaboutFORUMS - View Single Post - Pixie's UE diary (enforceable and blagging )

                    They use a lot of high-falutin language but basically telling me that the debt's enforceable and they'r going to carry on trying to get me to pay it.

                    I think I'll wait and see what they send next. After all, if they take me to court they won't get anything because I don't have anything.

                            Robbin' Dogs will usually run when faced with anything serious. They will always look for some one more vulnerable to prey on.
