I have realised that I have been making a payment annually from my bank account for around the £43.00 mark; I remember receiving a phone call from one of my credit card companies (I am pretty sure it was Capital One) back in the early 2000's and them selling me a card protection scheme which covered all my credit cards. Obviously this has been absolutely useless to me but I have no details of who the company is, the only details I have is that a payment is taken from my current account in May each year and the reference is Card Protection CD 5855.
I have actually just remembered to cancel this payment for this year and although the chap on the phone was very helpful he could only see the retailer as Card Protection. Just a long shot but has anyone ever heard of anything like this before? Niddy signposted me in my SB thread to an article about this type of insurance and I recon I would stand a chance of getting a refund but I have to work out who it is with first!
