  • Equidebt

Having moved house it appears that DCA's that I haven't heard from in years have suddenly remembered me!
The latest is Equidebt! They want to know if I am the person that they are looking for, the reference number is not familiar, but it's probably regarding an old Next account.
I am starting to feel under a lot of pressure and back to how I felt when redundancy hit and I didn't know which way to turn, silly me for thinking that I was back in control

Have you gone on the electoral register?
if so that will be where they are getting the info.

How old is this one and when did you last pay?

Don't worry we'll help get it under control

Could also be that your bank has automatically updated your CRA for your current account, and drawn attention to your move.
As MrsD says, don't worry we'll help you deal with it...and old Next accounts are often UE.

I would tell them in writing I am not the person they are looking for and not to bother me again.

I have just looked at the letter again and if it was the Next account, then I would expect the reference number to be the same, so they are obviously chasing a different one, will have to wait and see, also if they are chasing for another DCA, or if they have bought it!
I have sent a few to Niddy to see if they are UE, just waiting to hear, the majority have a year to go before SB, so they are going to put the pressure on.
Clearly being in debt takes away any privacy in my life, as the letters from DCA's are arriving daily and I haven't told them that I've moved, perhaps Cabot have!

All has become clear, they are chasing for another DCA on a debt that becomes SB in four months time!

Obviously as such you need to respond to each letter (delaying it as much as possible) and dragging it through SB.....

If anything let us know each time they write and we'll help compose the response and clarify when to send it. ie say they write dated 1st you would respond on 13th thus giving you over 5 weeks for them to then reply again based on normal working practices

I have sent you an email Niddy, just wondering if I sit tight and wait for the reply to today's developments, or put something in writing to them?
