Ditto Nightwatch, if it were me I would get some money saved as an emercency fund (probably between 6 and 12 months take home pay) and then put some extra away for making f&f offers at a later date when they have been sold on a few times and the percentage they will accept is lower. Congratulations on the job

Congratulations on the job strepsi, what a nice early Christmas present!

I definitely wouldn't be making token payments or paying chunks of the debts off. Enjoy having some extra money and have a few treats but try and put some away just in case any of the creditors get heavy.

Thanks for all the positive messages. I decided to have a career change in summer, I am now in a position to get going (well January anyway).

I am excited on so many different levels!

Such good news. As Pixie has said do t rush to make payments or acknowledge the debts. The longer you go without payment, the loser to becoming Statute Barred, otherwise if enforceable the longer you hold out and the more DCSs involved, the greater the discount offered.....

Not been here for a long time, my mood goes from up to down.

Got a pile of envelopes that need opening for a few months (know it's not good).

Anyway this morning opened a letter up for what was addressed to my wife (trying to shield her from these pressures as best I can).

Anyway it is from Northampton Court, relating to my wifes B'card, Niddy has stated in the past that it uneforceable, but now I can't find that post on this site.

How do I tackle this new situation.

              Cheers

Hi, Niddy will usually get in touch with you and explain the options regarding the solicitors that AAD use and who have an incredible success rate. Alternatively you can receive guidance through other members on the site.
