  • Barclaycard - Cabot

Apologies if in the wrong part. I have had long battle with Barclaycard (nearly six years) regarding unenforceability - passed to several DCA's the most recent being Cabot. Always responded and kept paperwork. Always sent me copy of application form with prescribed terms missing etc.

Today I received letter from Cabot....." .....Barclaycard have advised that they are unable to provide the requested documentation as required under section 77/78 of the CCA 1974. I can confirm that Cabot Financial have taken the decision to no longer pursue the collection of this account unless the information is obtained in the future. .... not to be confused as a write-off as the debt legally remains .....

Thought this would be useful info for others

    thanks

    Nice result!

It amazes me how Barclaycard still persist on only sending terms and conditions in reply to CCA requests.
