  • Cabot/Fire What to do next?

    hi everyone

Niddy, i want to thank you for your time and patience with me. ;K7

Brief outline: Have a Argos card years ago, the debt was sold to cabot, requested cca which is unenforceable. They are now in dispute and they still continue to write letters. Debt is for £719.47.

Cabot have now passed this debt to fire, whom i think is the inhouse collection agency, posing as someone else. letterhead one address. Envelope cabots address.

I have wrote niddy's template final response letter on receipt of cca. Fire have responded by stating that they have checked with cabot and everything has been complied with, so they are going to enforce the debt. I must contact them with regards to repayment.

I have a question. Whilst an account is in dispute with Cabot can they get someone else to collect on the debt for them?

if this is allowed do i just send a letter stating that the account is in dispute with cabot until a copy of my cca is produced with all the correct information.

I was going to write the above letter today. But then i thought i would check on the dispute thing and getting someone to collect on their behalf.

if someone could help clarify that would be great.

    Thank you rosieday ;Hi1 ;K7

F.I.R.E. is just a front for Cabot.

In the same way that Lowells sometimes write letters as 'Red Collections' or 'Hamptons Legal'.

Treat anything that comes from them af is it comes from Cabot direct.

If you are in dispute with Cabot, then that is it. End of story.
