  • How far do PDL providers go?

I stupidly took out a payday loan 2 years ago from TXTloan. It was originally for £100 + £17 interest (over 14 day period)

There were insufficent funds in my account at the time of collection and it was bounced by my bankers. Over the course of two months the final balance ended up to be £277.

I heard nothing about it until 12 months ago when i received a letter from Advantis Credit. At the time i offered to repay them the loan plus interest which was £117. They flatly refused. They bounced it back to TXTloan.

Today out of the blue I have received a letter from VILCOL demanding repayment for £277.

Im really angry about this since I agreed to repay the initial loan plus interest which was flatly refused.

Shall i stick to my guns with this new DCA? I have checked my credit file and this loan doesnt appear anywhere.

If i fail to pay could they default me and obtain a CCJ? Just wondering if PDL companies do go for ths route?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Some PDL's will default you and yes some will try for CCJ's. However normally when defended they soon back off.

Up to you what to do, make another full and final, offer a repayment plan or ignore.

If it were me and I had the money I would make a F&F offer of say £100 and see what they say
