Barclaycard, 2 defaults, same account

Hi all me again

i have a cc with barclaycard, it was defaulted in 2002 recorded with experian,
have been paying them reduced payments ever since
last year got a letter saying i had not complied with the default issued and if i did not remedy the arrears it would be passed to their solicitors
I wrote and asked 'What default'
a letter from their in house solicitors (next desk along)asking for me to remedy the default
letter stating no default received and asking what payments had been missed as my payments were by standing order and all had been paid
no reply but letter from CSL (cannot spell ltd) they had been passed the debt by Barcs to collect
CCA sent and the smallest set of T & C (1 page)were sent
checked my credit file and a default had been added dated 2010
so a letter was sent to barclays asking for it to be removed as they had defaulted and closed the account in 2002
the following is there reply , i did send a letter saying i had a copy of my 2006 credit report showing the default but 8 weeks later they have not replied

You need to go to ico & FOS.

That was a final response thus they don't need to reply anymore. You can tell the cra to remove it by providing them a copy of your old report highlighting the original default. It's then their responsibility to act on it. If they refuse you send a double complaint in; one againt barclaycard and one againt each if the cra's - pointless arguing experian if equifax shows a default so you need all 3 reports.
