Re: AIC - Allied International Credit

It's a pity you cannot use a number for them to call that costs them £10 per minute and which hangs up after nine minutes. That's eight minutes and 40 seconds of preamble before they can leave a message in the last 20 seconds, which will almost fore them to call again to continue the message.

Or just have it hanging up after 25 minutes of "hold music" - badly off-key Greensleeves is quite annoying, but off-key and repeated snatches of any tune could eventually send the listener insane.

    Possible hold music:

The advantage of this is that it is quite pleasant and may be sufficiently memorable for the caller to Google the first line after the call has ended.

Is this thread linked to this BC account?

    ---> Roomtobreathe's UE Diary - Barclaycard CC - allaboutFORUMS

Please clarify - if so I will merge the threads. If not do not use that template above as I have done it based on it being linked to the above BC account....

    Thanks

    Dear Sirs

    Account No/Reference No: XXXXXXXX

I refer to the above numbered account

Please do not email me, do not call me at home and do not call me at my place of work. You have my mailing address, use it.

If you persist in calling me at work I shall get your personal number and call you at home, see how you like it?

For the avoidance of doubt I sent Credit Solutions (previous owners) a CCA request as per my rights under s.78 of the Consumer Credit Act. This request remains outstanding and until you deal with it this account is unenforceable and cannot be enforced.

Please deal with the outstanding issues by letter and remove all numbers from your system or a formal complaint will be raised to the regulatory bodies regards your lack of diligence.

I await your response to my s.78 request and subsequent confirmation you will remove all contact numbers and email addresses from your system. If you need to call me then use my preferred number of 08719 152718.

    Yours faithfully,
The reference to that number quoted above is here ---> Free Number to Issue Creditors - allaboutFORUMS

Up to you if you use it, it basically sends the call to an answerphone that deletes messages upon receipt

Given that they've never contacted me by letter what's the best way of dealing with them?
