Hello AAD Members,
The time is soon approaching when I will need to buy a cellular telephone. That presents two problems, choosing the handset and choosing the network. I've already done my research into the handsets and have made my choice, what I now need to do is choose the network.
I've heard good things about this Giffgaff network, which is a lot cheaper than most of the others, and which doesn't tie you down to a contract. This has two advantages – firstly, as an extremely light user I won't be paying fortunes every month for something I don't use, and, secondly, there won't be any nasty credit checks.
This should be of interest to everyone on this site with a knackered credit file (which I suspect is most of us). I have seen quite a few new posters going down the UE route for the first time, who were worried about defaults stopping them getting essential services. One of these was a cell phone contract. Well, if you can get a comprehensive service without a contract, that is surely less of a problem.
So, has anyone got any experience of this network?
If I do try it, I'll report back here with my experiences.
