My WORD have been playing up, so when downloading it does not recognise is and yet its installed - then trying to open it it won't??

    Any ideas please?

Or is there another one I could try downloading free?

    cheers.

Corrupt or deleted system file - best to just insert the disk again and run it - then select "Repair"....

Will it allow a repair from the add/remove software entry in the control panel?

                    Probably won't without the disc?

That's about as much as I can suggest as I've used OpenOffice for too long now; and if there is anything more advanced/technical I need to do then I'll do it outside an off the peg office suite.

Free MS office trial sounds good.

Then dump it for openoffice/libreoffice when it expires.

I think so too, I do normally mess up and he always comes to the rescue, so will leave it to when he arrives home tomorrow. LOL.
