That's not SC's camera, though; after a bit of effort, I've learned that's the Fuji Finepix S100fs - 11.1 MP and with optical image stabilisation.

I did wonder when I googled an image, why it has an optical view finder? The Spec is impressive and the quality of the Photo's she has posted are very good.

Just hopes she realizes that I am pulling her leg about the point and shoot.

Nothing wrong with a point and shoot. Years ago Kodak ran a competition for photographs taken with the old Kodak Instamatic.
Some of the results were stunning. If memory serves me right it was a candid photograph that won.

Even David Bailey used to plug the old Olympus Trip. Though I could never got on with half frame.

          Regards, Handy

Neither that camera nor my digital cameras (Sony DSC-F717 and Casio FH20) has an optical viewfinder - they all contain an electronic viewfinder for people who like to shoot from eye level.

If I recall correctly, the Olympus Trip (link) was a rather crude full frame camera that was only better than an Instamatic by :
            1. having a film pressure plate - which the Instamatic lacked - to ensure a flat film plane
            2. having a Tessar lens of remarkable quality
            3. having a built-in, selenium cell, meter
            4. having a hot shoe to mount a standard or an electronic flashgun

The half-frame camera to which you alluded was the Olympus Pen series of cameras (link) which included the somewhat odd Olympus Pen F reflex range (link). All except the Pen F had non-interchangeable lenses.

Clogs can't fault you mate, as ever your correct. It was the pen series that was half frame. 72 frames per film.

I myself prefer to use an eye level view finder, I have not yet found a camera with a screen that can be properly viewed in strong sunlight.

Occasionally I will use the screen when trying to shoot from ground level or some other awkward angle.

              Regards, Handy

Hi all, Its been a garbage day.

I could write reams about my Family (step) they would have to commit murder before Mrs Handy would stand up to them. It doesn't Matter what they do, or how much they cost us they still come first.

Bearing in ind Oldest (49) No trouble, Next Mid 40's Career Smack Head (No trouble at the moment) but the number of times I have bailed him out, even when he was living in a cardboard box in the bus station.

No 3 son, Trapfly arrived last Monday after giving 20 minutes notice. Quick kill the fated calf.

Everything out of the back of the van in which he lives, 5 loads of washing and ironing for Mum, who isn't well. All we got was moans about how skint he is, but how he wants to repay us the 1k He borrowed back in March to rent his Burger Van.

When he arrived the first thing he did was give me a lecture on how misguided I was in believing the riots were not politically motivated. Army in Police uniforms Just like the Minors strike.
How the Freek would he know he was only 12 at the time.

He said no one owns their own home, its the Banks. That Anarchy is the only way forward. I told him that's a fine attitude, your in reality Homeless without a pot to pish in. If the rioters had burned your van how would you feel.

It was only a few nights earlier he had spent the evening in a nick in Bristol because some Drunk and his Girlfriend had taken exception to him and a mate walking around dressed like Quentin Crisp. I asked him if the way he dresses causes such antagonism put himself in the place of a police officer when faced with a crowd of drunks.

He said The Kids are not to blame, It's only the Governments fault.
How would he know, he has a feral son who he and his Girl friend left with Mrs Handy at 6 weeks old to go Raving and Muleing E's in from Holland. They couldn't cope as they needed to live their lives. Even though his Girl Friend already had a grown up Family.

When they broke up and Mrs H had looked after the child for 6 years untill there was a bitter custody battle. The Mother who got a Job as a class room assistant recently got sacked for Allegedly selling Grass to the School Kids. She was teaching Immigrants English, but she spells Court as Cowt!

I won't mention how amazed I am that she got through a CRB check.
Knowing her history as I do.

Anyway I digress, he was party to the Conversation between Mrs Handy and DD (1/2 sister don't ask!) when she was asking for help to prevent her house being repossessed. After the phne was put down he said "If you Think I'm going to Help you out by paying you back the £800 (Its actually 1K) just for you to throw it away think again.

Friday Lady Hooray asked how long is he going to stay here?
That Van of his, I don't want my Friends thinking this is a Gypsy encampment. Tell him to move it.

Now as it happens Older Broth was coming up to meet him to go to a Party in Cornwall (not that he had told us what was happening)

Yesterday he turned up late afternoon, grabbed a few belongings, left the Van. He's off abroad for a week Working (New name for S*****G) then he has auditions in the North.

He Knew this would cause a ruck. This Morning Lady Hooray went Ballistic. Mrs Handy supported Trapfly. I said I was fed up of them all taking the Pish. See thread on DD's Mortgage.

Result anyone Need a single unemployed Handyman.

I'm no Angel and I don't want sympathy. But why are people so blind and up themselves that they never see what effect their actions have on people even though they are never aware of the harm it causes.

Good night all, hopefully things won't be any worse tomorrow.
