  • Re: Hooray Hall. Adventures of a Handyman.

and now I have a lurgy...

And I had paranoias last night about radio active toasties

    Again :

Emailed complaints I was that up my own derriere about the toasties...

All cos they caused me to see things last week and caused the voices to come back this

Though I suspect that could well be lack of calories....

Right now my staple diet is orange juice - soon I'll look like the tango advert

Only bit of good news in this wet and windy part of the world is that I'm back on the e-cigs - the E-V1 to be precise (having gotten the wine bottle back from repairs and promptly dropped it the same day and bust it) and DV should have a VV by the end of next week (with £4 18650 batteries from e-cig wizard )

        It could be worse.

You could end up as orange - link - as Robert Killjoy Silk:

Like I said to the chap that comes to empty it, be careful whats in there cost a lot of Money to produce. It must be worth a £100 pounds per Kilo.

Well it's all the Pheasant, Venison, Pate de foie Gras and Champers that Her Ladyship and friends consume.

The chap said they might be rich but their sh1t still stinks the same as ours.

How you doing mate, hope your not working too hard.

          Regards, Handy.

Just time for a Handy update before turning in.
It's been a very long day as I am in the middle of decorating the sitting room here at the old Pig Sty (Handy's Cottage).

I am nearly ready to paper the staircase, (part of the room).
problem is with the wood burner, when it smokes all the walls are yellow. It's taking 3 coats of white emulsion before it covers.

I have some joinery to do as well before I'm done.
Still if I get another full day tomorrow I should be getting to the end of it.

Then Mrs Handy wants the Kitchen doing.

So that's the reason I haven't been around much.

I hope to post a picture or 3 sometime next week.
But why when you change anything, is it a green light for the women folk to start changing all the soft furnishings.

I cant even get in my armchair for the 10 scatter cushions

            Regards all, Handy

Good Evening All, Handy is just having a cold beer and five minutes on the Laptop before a shower and bed.

I wish now I hadn't knocked out 2 walls a few years ago to make one big sitting room. That and I'm starting to feel my age. A few years ago I would have had it done in a couple of days by putting in extra hours.

Still light at the end of the tunnel, this was the room at lunchtime today.

The wall papering is done including the staircase. Most of the ceiling has had 2 coats, just 2 walls the landing and gloss work to do, Oh and fit new skirting boards and build a cupboard.

Should have it done by midweek (fibber )

If Swanny reads this, it's a shame your over on the wrong side of the country, I could keep you in Stella for a month

So that's Handy's weekend gone. Tomorrow I start working through the work list her Ladyship wants doing before she comes back from holiday.

              Regards all, Handy

Oh I forgot to mention, Trapfly is back after doing a weeks work in Ireland. He had to go straight to Leeds for an audition for Total Wipeout. He was convinced he would get through and then go on to win it. Needless to say he never got it.

Still no word from him as to when he's coming for his Van. (Garlock I may take you up on your Offer ). What peeves me is he hasn't once called his mum. I only know what he's up to and where he is from his FB page.

He's after a sympathy vote, He posted he Had injured himself while training someone on the Chinese Pole, he really needs to see a physio but is that broke he can't afford one.

On Friday I got him an offer of £900 for his motor bike (the one he paid £400 more than it was worth for). He messaged me back that £900 wasn't enough and that he needed an extra £50.

He can't be that broke if he can turn down the only serious offer he has had for the bike in 4 months.

When he does put in an appearance, he may find that the reception is a frosty one.

                Regards, Handy.
