I bought it last year. I chose the Olympus because I have in the past had an OM1 and OM2. The reviews all said it was the smallest and lightest 3/4ths DSLR. I didn't realize at the time that dedicated Lenses and Flash units would be exorbitantly priced.

I can get a 300mm Mirror lens for @£120 but it will be a fixed aperture Manual Focus.

Here is a link to the spec LINKOlympus E620 Review - What Digital Camera test the Olympus E-620 Four Thirds DSLR | Digital SLR camera reviews, tests and specs | What Digital Camera

I did allright when I bought it, Brand New. Body, 40 - 150 and 14 - 42 mm lens. Flash Gun, 8 GB Flash Card, Tripod, Gadget Bag, UV Filter, Gadget Bag, Spare Battery. All for £620. (addition, I forgot Super wide Converter down to 8mm
            and 2X Tele Converter (Crap)).

I did sweat for a while until it was delivered as it was the most I had ever spent on Ebay.

As it was the seller was 100% legit.

I bought the camera to use for DD's Wedding Photographs.

I always said never do Weddings for Family and Friends, you never get the respect or co-operation from them, unlike paying customers.

If you think I was extravagant, when I could have got a much cheaper Bridge camera, I had just had some success in selling a car for a nice profit. I wish I could do it more often.

            Regards all, Handy

And A Finer Camera was never Made. I still have an Old 1930's Kodak Box Brownie. 120 roll film is still available at a price and I can still get it processed. I used to use it to do Sepia Toned Photo's of peoples houses. It looked like they had been taken a 100 years ago.

At least with yours 90% of the time you will get a usable photograph.

Did I ever tell you Handy used to do Nude Photography.

I had to give it up as the only place I could find to keep my spare Batteries was tucked down the tops of me Socks

The only Photograph from DD's Wedding, where the subject was on time, Sober and didn't Argue with me.

Talk about a Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, but less of the Son in Law.

I doubt it; Handy probably used a DSLR with a semi-macro lens.

I wanted a connection to external flash units for studio use, as I want to explore rim lighting - link - and other lighting effects just not possible with a light source on the camera. I want to use side lighting with a rim light and little or no "fill" from the front - not even a reflector.

Here are examples of the sort of shot I want to create; they were not taken by me, but I'll scan one of my old "analogue" prints and put up "one I did earlier":

so what's this new piece of kit you got this am and how much was it?
It was just another 9MP bridge camera - a Fuji Finepix S9500 (link 1, link 2) but, whilst this one lacks the image stabilisation technology of the Casio FH20, it has a shutter button threaded for a mechanical cable release, for use on a tripod, and a PC (Prontor-Compur) connection for studio flash units. It was less than £150, which is itself rather less than one would have to pay for a 9MP DSLR with external flash connection via a hot shoe and hot shoe adapter.
