  • Lloyds Playing Games!

    Everyone should keep an eye on their Lloyds bank accounts. No payments have been made since 2010; today an annual statement has arrived showing a payment of £18 from last year. I know that no payments have been made so I will be finding copies of the relevant bank statements to cover myself. This is for an overdraft of £6,000 which hasn't been used since 2003. Although I haven't requested anything from them a SAR has shown lots of agreements for increasing the OD limit, but this was exceeded which I believe means that the terms were breached by Lloyds.

    since I baffled RW this has been quiet.

    Having quickly checked my records ..... The last payment to this was September/October 2008 when they failed to supply a CCA, even though I now know I made a request under the wrong section of the act!

    Thanks for the heads up Cym... I had a LTSB current account with overdraft.

    If the last payment you made was September/October 2008 it should be SB late this year.

      It doesn't matter what is paid in. The ONLY things to affect SB are

      1. A cause of action (court claim);
      2. Direct acknowledgment by you;
      3. Payment to the account - authorised or made by you

      ok....?

        Thanks Niddy; I haven't made payments, just concerned they may claim £18 payment was from us! 1stC once tried that when the payment was from Barclays after FOS told them to pay £50 compensation for failing to supply SAR.

          But it's for them to PROVE you paid it in - they'll not be able to will they
