  • HSPF sold debt to CapQuest who sold debt to Lowell Portfolio 1

Hello, I'm a bit confused as to how this all works so would be most grateful if I could get any help from you lovely people.

In October 2008 I took out a loan with HSPF to help with moving house, our landlords suddenly sprung on us that they were selling and we had four weeks to move....

    Leaving DMP, taking them on.

I am a newbie posting for the first time.
My OH has been paying 6 unsecured debts via pay plan for the last 7 years.
We've reduced the debt from £26k down to £7k.
However we offered a f&f of 40% to all creditors.
To our surprise the settlement figures had added charges...

    Good evening all

My son received a phone call this evening at 7pm from this company out of the blue. They say he owes £250 for a cancelled gym contract. He had signed a gym contract in May on the proviso that he could possibly cancel this as he may have to move home. This was agreed with...

Apologies if this has been raised and dealt elsewhere but, has anyone else had issues with various DCAs allocating new and seemingly unrelated account or reference numbers when contacting you?

    Default 28 days ?

I understand that a remedy for an arrears default must allow 14 days plus postage time.

However, if the arrears are not paid, my DN says the agreement will be terminated and the credit card account closed...the full balance must then be paid immediately...if you do not do this we may take...

    Hi all,
I've been looking over a letter to my OH from Bryan Carter solicitors, and it somewhat excites my paranoid tendencies.

In the headed address their contact phone number has been omitted and a non-phone number printed in its place.(HARDLY NOTICEABLE) This new number is actually...

Sold a car recently - DVLA Warning!!!

    Hi All

Just wanted to share my experience with the DVLA and warn everyone regards a little scam they seem to be operating to fleece more money out of motorists.

I sold my car in October, and, infront of the buyer, put the V5 in an envelope addressed to the DVLA and put a stamp...

    Bit of a weird one.

I had an online auction finish tonight and the buyer (there was only 1 bid) paid straight away, we're talking a tenner plus postage. They then sent me a message as follows:-

    Is this breach of contract?

If A sends an item to B and it gets lost in the post, is A liable to B?

Specifically, in this instance A and B agreed to swap items. B got his from A. However , B posted his item to A but it never arrived. Is there a duty to insure an item? Or to send it by secure post?
