    Somebody has offered me a I pad air for £ 250 .....only a week old they can't get on with it...

    Are they any good ?

    I've just bought one.

    Thats a bargain mate (for 32GB) Do it.
    I'm the forum administrator and I look after the theme & features, our volunteers & users and also look after any complaints or Data Protection queries that pass through the forum or main website. I am extremely busy so if you do contact me or need a reply to a forum post then use the email or PM features offered because I do miss things and get tied up for days at a time!

      I wouldn't pay retail price for them, but for that I would snap it up.

            It depends on who offered it to you and whether it's dodgy. Were they wearing a hoodie by any chance? ipads have serial numbers so you can check it out.

                    PS maybe you need to check out the warranty situation. Is it transferable from your pensioner ( ) contact to you? Also check whether your pensioner ( ) contact really can't adapt to the technology or whether the gadget has a genuine fault. ipads have a reputation for having lots of faults since they are mass-produced

                        tbh they're cheap to fix now. Most big indoor markets have a repair / phone stall. Just go there. Sod warranty; you'll still be a lot better off buying it £250 with no warranty.

                          Im on my third generation of iPads and forth generation of iPhones, not had any failures or even minor faults to date.

                          As as far as oldies struggling with the technology, I'm 65 and I've never had any problems driving any of the Apple products...

                            I agree, I started with iPhone 3, then went to 4, 4S and 5. Never had any issues.....

                              Ipad 2 and just got first iphone 5c, a few technical glitches , but great.
