  • Wonga Loans Huffington Post.

Hi all just found this on my news feed.

Have you ever used a payday loan? What was your experience of it?

Have you ever had a positive experience of a pay day loan? (And you don't work for Wonga?)

    Email jessica.elgot@huffingtonpost.com

I thought it might be of interest to some here.
I am sure we could tell her a story or two?

    Regards, Handy

Hi all, I'm sorry I ever put this story up today! just more spam.

LINK Payday Loans: The Good And Bad Experiences Of Short-Term Debt

My comment should it ever get published!

Wonga the Governments lender of Choice. Is it because these Sharks have Sponsored Newcastle or because Beercroft who is a major investor in Wonga is Camorons Mate and a major influence on Employment Law, means they get away with their disregard for lending regulations.

Just wait now they are scrapping the social fund, those who need emergency help will be sent to these Sharks.

Huffington, why this Pro Wonga Stance you only have to look at any of the Debt Related websites to see how they operate!

Apologies, when I saw this article I thought it would have a positive outcome.

    Regards, Handy (no Grin)

        Re: Wonga Loans Huffington Post.

Now those on AAD know that I have very little good to say about the PDL industry.

However this one suggestion in the article was very clever:

HuffPost UK reader Martin Harkins, 27, from Falkirk, used Wonga to make a profit of £50 through referral fees.

He told The Huffington Post UK: "I have had several positive experiences with payday loans.

"I made a profit, and my partner did it too. I take a small £10 loan over one day, using a cash-back site.

The interest is six pence a day, for every day you have it. So then I pay it back straight away as new customers don't pay transmission fee.

"You get a £20 referral fee if you get partners and mates to use it, and you get cashback of £15 for free. Then you never use it again.

"I first heard about using that system off a article that Martin Lewis did last year on his website [Money Saving Expert].

"I made a nice free £50 for only 12p cost. I really do think that it's a way of playing them at their own game. Doesn't take much restraint in not using their service again."

However its important to point out that this has NOTHING to do with the PDL company, but rather someone taking exceptionally great advantage of a cashback site offer which could have applied to MANY different products over the years.

I wouldn't say that this is a 'positive' PDL story, more a positive Cashback site story.
