      Hi Niddy
As they are dated 2003 it was a 7 day time limit so if they say 14 days is that not OK? Or is it based on dates and not days in number.

Was this an Access card originally?

The other day I came across an old Spitting Image spoof advert for it ("Your Inflexible Friend"). I put it on the thread below rather than putting videos on your diary thread, GM!

the 23rd was a Wednesday - as Paul says lets presume that it didn't even get to print till the Friday - posted Monday (28th) plus 2 days postage takes you to the 30th (8 days). You then get 6 days taking you to the 5th. So technically you'd have time to remedy BUT that depends on when it was actually posted. This could be a good few days and not the estimate I gave. Paul knows the exact days so see if he can clarify.

The original 14 days offered gave from 23rd to 6th (14 days).

See what Paul says. No doubt he'll be around later

                Thanks Niddy
I noticed that the DN states that if I made a payment by post it would take 7 days before the account is credited. So using your figures if I posted it within the remaining days it would not be credited to my account in time.Is this your reckoning to?
I will wait to see what Paul says then.I have cancelled the Standing Order,so the ball is rolling.
                Fingers crossed.

                  Hi Niddy
We looked at my Access account last year and when Oldaccess started his thread I was contributing with various points, and this was your comment about my situation at that time:

                  Your comment Niddy:
'You are quite right which is my argument all along. With yours THEY messed up cos they've treated the MC as a whole new account hence rendered pre-1985 irrelevant and as you know that WAS your stumbling block. So now, as we KNOW no new terms for the MC were ever issued, yours will be UE'.

Niddy,is this of some help in my current situation towards UE or not? Sorry,I should have mentioned this earlier but with the current situation I overlooked it.Naturally if there is a chance to go for UE it would be preferable to a negotiated settlement.I just hope there is some mileage in the DN issue.

Is your situation the same as oldaccess? They had access that went to MasterCard and had a new agreement. Did you?

Oldaccess thread is also relevant as they did have access converted to MasterCard after 1985 I believe which knackers the bank really lol

I was sure I explained my "feelings" on this last time. As they've changed from access to MasterCard which comprises totally new PT's the Access element has to be ignored (April 1980 commencement date). The moment it switched to MasterCard was a new agreement and thus it's that date they ought to be classifying the commencement date from because access was never MasterCard and thus was not operated the same nor were the PT's anything alike. Plus access wasn't as widely accepted as MasterCard!

Access was a fixed £ repaid each month ie £500 limit = £25pm repayment etc etc. MasterCard was always a minimum percentage ie 3% of balance.

                              Thats my view anyways.
