Hi Niddy, got another letter from Wescot this morning about RBS - Mint account. Sent out Account Sold letter and Wescot have replied with

'Having contacted our client they have advised the Agreement was sent on 21/6/09 and a final response was issued on 8/10/10.

In the circumstances we believe the dispute has now been resolved and the full balance or an agreed monthly instalment is required.

If in the event you believe you still have a valid dispute please contact us with the details within the next 14 days otherwise your account will be returned to our recovery team for collection'

Will I send out Refusal by DCA letter?

Hi everyone, sent out Enough is Enough letter to Wescot about this one and got a letter today, which they have sent to my old address - no idea what is going on there??

Anyway it is headed FINAL NOTICE and says that despite previous correspondence a balance is still outstanding, unless contact is made within the next 10 days they will send round doorstep collector or either Wescot or client taking legal action against us.

PAYMENT DUE BEFORE 22 JULY 2011

Not sure what to do with this one, they have not acknowledged any of the letters we have sent and now are sending letters to our old address, from 3 years ago, when they already know our current address!

Advice gratefully received as with this one

Also have a Clydesdale and Cap One Credit Cards - both defaulted and have had Final Responses from them and have not heard from them since last year (apart from a fantastic deal from Clydesdale!!!!)

Well got a letter from Clydesdale Bank this morning, they have sold the debt (after over 2 years) to Cabot, so will wait to hear from them

Morning hope everyone had a good weekend, it is like winter up here

Letter from CSL this morning, wrote to them in April and have ignored last 2 letters from them as per Niddy. Letter today, using CAPS and BOLD as usual.

PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE

I have ignored previous correspondence and I have had the benefit of goods/services which I have not paid for.

Unless they here from me within 7 days they may instruct a local collector (already sent doorstep letter back in April) or instruct legal action.

IT IS NOW IN YOUR OWN INTEREST TO MAKE AN ARRANGEMENT FOR SETTLEMENT NOW BY COMPLETING THE PORTION BELOW AND RETURNING THE ENTIRE LETTER TO THIS OFFICE.

Send out 'Threat of Litigation' letter?? and add on doorstep collection letter to it?

Morning everyone , so much for the sunshine, it is raining now

Letter in this morning from CSL they have been passed Lloyds Account Number 1

Did like the letter 'We DEMAND that the sum stated be sent direct to this office IMMEDIATELY using the payment slip below.

Your failure to comply could result in a DEBT COLLECTOR calling upon you for payment or LEGAL ACTION being commenced against you'

Someon has been busy with the CAPS LOCK and BOLD TEXT!!!!!!!

Will send out Account Sold letter and incorporate doorstep visit, hope that is ok.

Sent out Threat of Litigation to Moorcroft as per Niddy and got a letter in this morning from Midas Credit Servicves who are part of the Moorcroft Group????

Headed LITIGATION WARNING. They are now reviewing the account prior to possible recommending of legal action by external solicitors. To prevent further action etc etc

What is the best letter to send out in response? Thanks

Just wait you only sent last letter after 7th July, see what they send next

Morning Niddy, hope all is well with you Have ignored the last couple of letters received from Moorcroft about this account as pre your instructions . Letter in this morning explaining that as we have not been in contact they have decided that to stop recommending legal proceedings they will accept a monthly payment of £120

Then the usual 'failure to respond may leave us no option etc etc' Do I send out Threat of Litigation letter??

No its not sold - chances are it'll be an internal assignment, ie non absolute.....

Also got a letter from Rob Way about Lloyds CC Account No 4

Have not heard anything about this since September when Lloyds wrote to tell me it had been passed to Moorcroft. Never heard from Moorcroft at all.

Today letter from Rob Way, formal notice of intended court action, have 10 days to pay in full iggy dy :kermit

Send out Threat of Court Action letter? Do like the last para 'This debt will not go away - it makes sense to pay'

Got 2 replies to my Account Sold letter to CSL. The first one tells me they have pleasure in enclosing proff of account ownership and have sent a copy of application form and go on to say theya they require payment and settlement proposal within 7 days to resolve this matter.

The second letter is exactly the same but this time they have pleasure in enclosing a Statement of Account and includes all the statements, will be shredding again

Some letters in this morning. Letter from Apex about Lloyds Account No 3 'Our client is aware of the difficult financial circumstances that a number of their clients are currently experiencing. As a result, they have authorised us to consider a discounted settlement' This is available for 10 days from date of letter and tells us to phone them to discuss.

Never heard anything from them since January 2011

Good morning hope everyone well today. Looks like Apex have given up on this one got a letter from Iqor this morning. It is headed Doorstep Collection Notice, but also throws in that this account has to be settled immediately and also that they can offer me a substantial discount (the same as Apex).

Do like the 72 hour deadline to take up this brilliant offer

So will send out Account Sold and also add in Threat of Doorstep collection and see what they come back with.
