Got response from Cabot this morning, they were unaware of any requests or disputes that we had previously raised with the original lender and that contact was made in good faith

They have contacted Clydesdale and hope to be back in contact in the next 12 days. But they would still request we contact them to discuss repayment options

So will wait for the next letter from them. I do like the last para on the letter tho.

'I note your comments regarding a visit to your home. We shall attempt to avoid a doorstep collector being instructed, however if you do not co-operate in resolving your outstanding account, we reserve the right to escalate your account as we deem necessary and this may result in the instruction of a doorstep agent. I trust I have set out our position clearly.'

It is headed Doorstep Collection Notice, but also throws in that this account has to be settled immediately and also that they can offer me a substantial discount (the same as Apex).

Do like the 72 hour deadline to take up this brilliant offer

So will send out Account Sold and also add in Threat of Doorstep collection and see what they come back with.

Speak soon, oh Niddy Mr SNS bit concerned about his days away, did mention you thought it might not be a great idea

HI, got a really strange letter from Iqor this morning about mt LLoyds Amex card:-

'Further to your recent ccoomunication requesting a copy of your credit agreement from our Client account ref shown above.' - Never asked for this from them????

'Our client has informed us that no copy application is available for this account as the account is a current account with an overdrawn balance' - What the hell are they on about?????

Thought I would write back and inform them that this is a credit card account - is that the best idea?

    Cheers

p.s. nice or not, still as easy to beat as all the others

Will send out Account Sold letter and see if we get such a nice letter back

Letter from CSL this morning, wrote to them in April and have ignored last 2 letters from them as per Niddy. Letter today, using CAPS and BOLD as usual.

    PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE

I have ignored previous correspondence and I have had the benefit of goods/services which I have not paid for.

Unless they here from me within 7 days they may instruct a local collector (already sent doorstep letter back in April) or instruct legal action.

IT IS NOW IN YOUR OWN INTEREST TO MAKE AN ARRANGEMENT FOR SETTLEMENT NOW BY COMPLETING THE PORTION BELOW AND RETURNING THE ENTIRE LETTER TO THIS OFFICE.

Send out 'Threat of Litigation' letter?? and add on doorstep collection letter to it?

    Cheers everyone
Hi , sent out Threat-o-gram letter before action and received a letter back from CSL this morning, comments have been noted and have forwarded my comments to LLoyds for further investigation and account is on hold
