If so can you ring and tell them to check their records as you have proof that you did send correspondence in and it was signed for on X date. Then explain, pass the account back or you will take action against them, and they will then be liable for your costs....

Should be fine doing this (withold your number, obviously).....

If you don't have their number - I do! (I have most of them lol):---:> 01527405495

No, they were very sneaky and there are no contact details on there at all, it was only cause I looked at the back of the envelope I noticed it was the same address as Apex.

I like this idea, will get OH to phone tomorrow, I checked and Apex received the letter on 6 May. It is very handy having Niddy directory enquiries

    Cheers Niddy

I posted out the above letter on 5 May to Apex. Today I get a letter from HL Legal and Collections (no address on the letter for them, but same address as Apex on back of envelope).

The letter is dated 3 May and we only received it this morning.

    NOTICE OF PENDING LEGAL ACTION

They have been instructed by Apex and unless Apex receive payment in full or a valid reason for non-payment of the account within the next 7 days, then court proceedings may be taken.

Never had any contact from HL before, do I send them a copy of the letter I sent Apex on 5 May. They do say that 'we are instructed not to enter into correspondence with you at this stage' isn't that nice of them but as they have written to me I only think it is polite to respond I will wait to see what you think is the best thing to do.

Cheers Niddy and speak to you soon
Its all the same firm, as you've already sent the threat template, you can send it again if you want - to Apex?

Otherwise they do this to act ignorant, ie pretend they never received it - so sending one special delivery ensures that if they try and take action, you can show the court that the account was indeed disputed and that Apex knew damn well fine it was as well....

Any ideas what I should send out to this one or ignore as well?!?!
