Sent out Threat of Litigation to Moorcroft as per Niddy and got a letter in this morning from Midas Credit Servicves who are part of the Moorcroft Group????

Headed LITIGATION WARNING. They are now reviewing the account prior to possible recommending of legal action by external solicitors. To prevent further action etc etc

What is the best letter to send out in response? Thanks
Ignored letter from Midas and got a letter in today DISCOUNT OFFER,

'In one last attempt to come to an arrangement to prevent more serious action our client has informed us that we may be able to offer you a SUBSTANTIAL DISCOUNT. If you believe there is an outstanding query on this account please contact us as soon as possible.

Also mentions about a local representative calling at home in the near future to try to assist you and seek to establish how you propose to settle the balance outstanding.

Think I will be ignoring this one as well

Letter from CSL this morning, wrote to them in April and have ignored last 2 letters from them as per Niddy. Letter today, using CAPS and BOLD as usual.

          PLEASE TAKE CAREFUL NOTE

I have ignored previous correspondence and I have had the benefit of goods/services which I have not paid for.

Unless they here from me within 7 days they may instruct a local collector (already sent doorstep letter back in April) or instruct legal action.

IT IS NOW IN YOUR OWN INTEREST TO MAKE AN ARRANGEMENT FOR SETTLEMENT NOW BY COMPLETING THE PORTION BELOW AND RETURNING THE ENTIRE LETTER TO THIS OFFICE.

Send out 'Threat of Litigation' letter?? and add on doorstep collection letter to it?

          Cheers everyone
Hi , sent out Threat-o-gram letter before action and received a letter back from CSL this morning, comments have been noted and have forwarded my comments to LLoyds for further investigation and account is on hold

Will send out Account Sold letter and see if we get such a nice letter back
Morning , ignored the last letter from Cabot as per In-2-Deep's advice. Letter in this morning informing me that 'the account has been escalated to our Pre Litigation Department' also threatening doorstep visit. What is best letter to send out? Account Sold or Threat Before Action? Cheers

They are twats (pardon the French) - but as a result think they can bully people, soi instead of playing "nice" in response to them, just go straight in with threats of your own - so send the template mentioned, then when they respond I may need to do a bespoke letter for you - keep us updated.

p.s. nice or not, still as easy to beat as all the others

It is headed Doorstep Collection Notice, but also throws in that this account has to be settled immediately and also that they can offer me a substantial discount (the same as Apex).

Do like the 72 hour deadline to take up this brilliant offer

So will send out Account Sold and also add in Threat of Doorstep collection and see what they come back with.

Speak soon, oh Niddy Mr SNS bit concerned about his days away, did mention you thought it might not be a great idea

HI, got a really strange letter from Iqor this morning about mt LLoyds Amex card:-

'Further to your recent ccoomunication requesting a copy of your credit agreement from our Client account ref shown above.' - Never asked for this from them????

'Our client has informed us that no copy application is available for this account as the account is a current account with an overdrawn balance' - What the hell are they on about?????

Thought I would write back and inform them that this is a credit card account - is that the best idea?

                              Cheers
