    Hi everyone,
have been lurking for a while now and decided it's time to join

Well we are not far off retirement and I am worried about some debts,
a couple of store cards and a couple of credit cards.
Problem is, I never use the storecards and the interest in compounding so I want to look at the PPI for a possible refund on these accounts and also look at whether they are enforceable or not.

welcome to the forum Janbo, quite a few of us here are of a more mature vintage!!!

You need to have a look to try to find out whether your cards are pre 2007, this is really the first requirement for unenforceability.

then if you post up where you are with everything, Niddy will take a look and you will get some good advice. Things he needs to know is type of card, rough date, amount, whether defaulted/terminated and who is looking after it, ie original creditor or has it been passed to a DCA.

Have a good read around the UE threads, read a couple of diaries and then come back to us with the information.

    Good Luck!!!

Hiya and welcome to the forum......you have taken the first step to getting yourself sorted out. You are not on your own, there are several of us close to retirement age and we are also getting ourselves sorted out. Have a read of the Unenforceabilty thread, it will tell you everything you need to know. If you have any credit cards that are pre 2007 then start the ball rolling by sending off for your CCA request.

Don't worry, you are in good company here, anything you want to klnow, then just ask.
