MBNA & DCA (Hillesden Securities) chase customer for £5500. Dept was paid 6 years ago!!!!
LESLEY SMITH cancelled her credit card and paid off the balance seven years ago - she got a letter from MBNA claiming there was an outstanding sum of £4000 on the card. I contacted MBNA's solicitors and sent details of the final payment I'd made and the letter I'd written cancelling the card. She then received a demand for £5500 from debt collectors Hillesden Securities.
MBNA said she did not close her account when she paid the balance in 2004. Following some activity on the account in May 2005, Her debt escalated as a result
Aye right £20.00 which escalated to £5500. Bloody rip-off merchants..
