I'm currently looking for a new basic bank account. I don't have a very good credit score so I need a bank where they don't do credit checks. So far I've found an account on the website of eccount money where they don't check your score. But I still wanted to search for alternatives...

I opened a barclays basic account and have jsut had a phone call saying that if i dont have direct deposits into it then they will close it claiming its a dormant account


I'm sure thats rubbish as dormancy is usually 12months no usage aint it?

A family mate (he left me a message on FB).
He is disabled and before Xmas went into some hardship difficulties with his bank (Co Op).
He just left me a message to say he received a letter from them, and they are closing his account.

One is a few months ago and other is exactly 12 months older

Both are from different DCAs

Got letter today from Crapquest for a credit card which i think should now be statute barred. They want £4186 blah blah or take legal action.
