Valentines Day - Closed

Do you like Valentines Day or is it a bunch of commercial crap?

Let's hear your thoughts.

Me I kinda like it but not in an over the top way - I would never want flowers on Valentines Day as they are such a rip off and it annoys me that they keep the prices up for most of February as if you have another ahem certain day the day after Valentines Day - it means you rarely get flowers!! pah!

I am cooking the M and S meal for 20 quid

Can't be doing with going out to restaurants on Valentines Day.

Will make it all nice - so kinda like going out but staying in.

Got Mr Looloo an 80's CD just a little token and a nice card and I'm done

I like to buy my wife flowers, and i do, but not on valentines day,mothers day, & christmas its a rip off, you have more fun the rest of the year.

Good for you - I love the fact when you come home and there are some flowers there for no other reason than the fact he loves ya and appreciates ya!! so I bet Mrs In2Deep loves it too!

I will be going in work late in the morning, will hang on for the postman, then I can take the sack of cards off him personally, I don't want him to have to stand there half the morning pushing them all through the letter box one at a time.....

I just find it so commercialised.
We don't bother going out, it's double the price, they squeeze extra tables in and it's sod's law that we'll end up sitting next to the couple that have the argument. Woudl rather go out another time!

i'm not keen on tacky presents but i have bought mr c a dvd he loves...and i'll cook him something nice (not sure what yet!)

we're having Valentines a day later as he's working...

i do love receiving flowers any time of year it's always a lovely surprise

Ha ha I'm exactly the same. I say pah what a load of commercial crap but am very touched if mr c gets me a card or anything

I got a card on my pillow - it was there waiting when i got back from my bath.... how sweet.

We are staying in and I am cooking the M and S meal for £20 yum!
