Regina Finn understands that households are under financial pressure so limits the rise to just above inflation. ???????? And thinks we should all applaud her for allowing a monopoly to dictate it wants more.

You stupid fecker of course a monopoly will want more it always does thats why monoplies are bad.

Thats why OFWAT are there to protect consumers from what monopolies try and do. Increase their profits.

Regina if you want applauding tell the water companies er nope not this year. You can still invest, you can freeze your prices and you can take a hit on your obscene profits on a basic essential which only benifits the fat cat society.

Like everything an increase of a few pounds hits the poor the hardest the ones already struggling. I dont suppose any bankers will be bothered but then again they probably will have stocks and shares in the utilities anyway and recieve this increase back in dividends.

A commodity as basic as life itself.

If everything went into infrastructure, water resource and cleaning of sewage.

If it was used to prosecute firms for spillages, improve flood contingency, cleared rivers, improved wildlife and public amenity.

If it was used for this and this alone then I would not have issue.

To make steady returns for investors, many who dont even live in this country, to make profit out of something that we all need for life from a captive consumer base.

Thats obscene. As you state the ugly face of capitalism.
