            Hi All!

Received a hand posted post card in a brown envelope addressed to myself from robins way, good job the shop was closed at time.

Can I ask, are debt collectors allowed to go into business premises to ask for the debtor? I am asking this is because I am still using my old work address and I don't want to let them know my new work address. Thank you! bobo x

I don't know the answer to that bobo but I wouldn't think so unless maybe it's your own business.

I can't see why they couldn't go into your old work address, just as I could and ask for you, then ask if they knew where you'd moved to.

In theory, if you write to them saying you don't want to be contacted at work, under the new OFT Debt Collection Guidelines, they should respect your request.

As long as you are engageing them in correspondence of course, if you are ignoring them and trying to avoid the matter then they would be entitled to speak to you at your work

Thank you Paul! I have been corresponding with them from the advise I received from Niddy and the mods, otherwise, I wouldn't know what or how to deal with them.

Received notice of debt collection from wescot dated 4/11/11.

Have not heard from anyone regarding this account for a while.

Please advise what template do I send wescot? Or do I file away. Thanks bobo x

I'd let them make their assumptions. It's not going to really change much in the scheme of things as the second letter proves.
